I’m not confused about what Antifa is. In 1932, it was an organization started by Communists in Germany, and supported by the U.S.S.R. They were anti-Capitalist, and anti-authority, and used violence as a means to bring about change. They were the rivals of Hitler’s brownshirts, who also hated Capitalism, and also used violence to enforce security. Today’s Antifa is still anti-Capitalism, still Communist, and still uses violence to push their ideals, and force change. The difference is that now they’re not supported by Russia, they’re supposed by George Soros, who worked as a teen for the Nazis, and is himself a Fascist, so it’s rather remarkable that a group who is supposed to be anti-Fascist, actually work for one.

From what I’ve read, during the Weimar republic, communist had 10% -15% positions in government.

When Hitler came into power, he began to execute up to 80,000 members and send over 150,000 to concentration camps. This lead to the formation of anti-fa as a communist terrorist group.

Over the years, it’s popped up in different parts of Europe.

Not really, since fascism is indistinguishable from communism.
“God does not exist. Religion in science is an absurdity, in practice an immorality and in men a disease.”

“What does ‘social justice’ mean? It means work guaranteed, fair wages, decent homes; it means the possibility of continuous evolution and improvement. Nor is this enough—it means that the workers must enter more and more intimately into the productive process and share its necessary discipline. … As the past (19th) century was the century of capitalist power, the 20th century is the century of the power and glory of labor.”

“(I)n the world’s social revolution that will be followed by a more equitable distribution of the earth’s riches, due account must be kept of the sacrifices and of the discipline maintained by the Italian workers.”

— Benito Mussolini
Impossible for fascism to not be a variation of communism, since it was started by a communist.
