Sorry, but no. “I” fell for nothing. I’m just stating facts. We had NO information about the behavior of this specific virus except what came out of China. It turns out those were lies. Once we were able to gather ACCURATE information, things had already been put in place. Also remember, the early hotspots “did” behave as though the virus was acting like the Chinese claimed.
The one thing I am positive of at this point is that policies will be changed at ALL levels of government, and that if, as, and when it happens again, we will be better prepared.

No. "A" number comes from each county (more correctly a "set"of numbers). The "size" of the number is much larger for whatever counties constitute NYC or Newark, or Chicago, but it is still only "a" number. The TREND of those numbers with time should be the same, irrelevant of what county they come from. It should be very easy with the statistical tools available today to pick out the "outliers" (literally, those tools will "out" the "liers") who are falsifying their county numbers.
Here in Pennsylvania, a very strong majority are nursing homes. Not just elderly people, but sicker than average and often disabled elderly are most of the deaths in PA.
