Residents armed with AR-15s and wearing bullet proof vests are taking matters into their own hands across America, coming out in force to defend businesses and stop widespread vandalism by looters.
Heavily armed vigilantes wielding everything from bats to rifles have started appearing at protests in places including Philadelphia, Idaho, California and Chicago, threatening to take action if things turn violent in the absence of law enforcement.
In Minneapolis, neighborhood watch groups are springing up - in support of protests over George Floyd's death but in defense of businesses and homes being destroyed by looters as night falls.
In many cases, the vigilantes want peace and are focused on protecting local residents and businesses from looters.

But I have heard about them driving around in SUVs with open-topped turrets on top with quad .50s mounted and the trunk filled to capacity with ammunition. Some of then even have anti-tank missiles! And one had a railway gun, whatever that is, with a bayonet lug! But it sure sounds scary!

I was going down Beltway 8 in Houston today and passed 7 military humvee type vehicles
I don’t know where they were going, we have no military bases around here. But I gotta say, it made me both trepudatious and comforted at the same time. I don’t know WTH is good and WTH is bad right now.
I’m loading up on SWBI stock tommorow.

The storm is coming, and citizenship is not a spectator sport.
They could be missing out on some household chemicals that will keep the looters out of their stores. All they have to do is put chlorine and ammonia in separate buckets. Put a sign on the locked door do not enter while cleaning. Then if they break a door in, kick the two containers together, and get out the back door quickly. The expanding gas, a close relative to mustard, will cover the floor inside the doors and I can promise you they will get out as fast as they can stagger. Hey, they are cleaning agents and you were just preparing for tomorrows opening if you can or using the down time to clean.
And before you mention it, there isn’t a gas mask sold to the public that can handle the stuff as the filters are not set up for it, even of they are new ones which you won’t get at the army/navy store, and I don’t think I’ve seen any up to date hazmet suits breaking window.
You can come back in a couple of hours and start your fans. But you will be alone. And your neighbor won’t care as they won’t get hit either.
