British Researchers: Hydroxychloroquine 'Is Not a Treatment for COVID-19 For Hospitalized Patients. It Doesn't Work.'

A British research team has concluded that hydroxychloroquine is not an effective treatment for COVID-19 and has halted its use in the United Kingdom's RECOVERY trial. That trial was established in March to evaluate the efficacy of various medicines for the treatment of COVID-19.

The Independent Data Monitoring Committee for the trials conducted an unblinded review of the hydroxychloroquine data. Based on that review, the researchers have concluded that "there is no beneficial effect of hydroxychloroquine in patients hospitalised with COVID-19." Martin Landray, one of the principal investigators, told reporters: "This is not a treatment for COVID-19. It doesn't work."

According to the statement from the RECOVERY trial investigators,

A total of 1542 patients were randomised to hydroxychloroquine and compared with 3132 patients randomised to usual care alone. There was no significant difference in the primary endpoint of 28-day mortality….There was also no evidence of beneficial effects on hospital stay duration or other outcomes.

These data convincingly rule out any meaningful mortality benefit of hydroxychloroquine in patients hospitalised with COVID-19.

"The RECOVERY Trial has shown that hydroxychloroquine is not an effective treatment in patients hospitalised with COVID-19," said Peter Horby, the chief investigator for the trial, in the statement. "Although it is disappointing that this treatment has been shown to be ineffective, it does allow us to focus care and research on more promising drugs."

While the RECOVERY researchers was looking into hydroxychloroquine's effects on hospitalized patients, an American-Canadian team of researchers was concluding that the drug also does not work as preventive treatment.

Based on some observational studies, some proponents of hydroxychloroquine remain enthusiastic about the possibility that adding zinc will boost the drug's efficacy. Forthcoming results from ongoing trials will eventually corroborate or refute that lingering hope.

I’d take the drug and a z pack.
The Brits. Well they can give their patients a couple of aspirin and send them home.

Follow the Science, which is handling the issue of Hydroxychloroquine for CCP virus about as skillfully as the Democrats handled the ballots in the Iowa caucuses last February.

Too bad hydroxychloroquine is so politicized that we can’t necessarily believe this.

Social Justice and TDS has now permeated the medical research ivory towers such that I do not believe any of their proclamations.

Ever notice the word ZINC is never mentioned in these studies.
The HYDRO doesn’t affect the virus at all it allows ZINC to enter the cells more readily to fend the virus off.

You ever see those commercials for ZINC lozenges?
Cures your flu/cold 4 days earlier if taken at the first sign of illness?
Almost the same thing..but better.

Hate to use the word GASLIGHTING but yea...

Fauci has taught me that it is extremely unwise and non-productive to believe a single word “The Experts” have to say.

Absolute pure BS. The British medical publication, The Lancet, has had to admit that a similar article it published was fake news. Same story in the New England Journal of Medicine which has now admitted the story was based upon fake study data.

You can go to thegatewaypundit.com website and read the article and news clip on Dr. Stephen Smith’s appearance on The Laura Ingraham show last night. Dr. Smith has appeared several times on Ingraham’s show and has met with White House staff. He is a firm believer in the effectiveness of this antibiotic based upon his successful treatment of his patients with the corona virus.

Fake science backed by fake news.

HCQ has been shown the world over to work and work well when treated early.

When sick patients are hospitalized with severe comorbidities, they die of other things. HCQ will not help them.

Many COVID-19 infected persons start experiencing the cytokine storm causing them to race to the hospital because they can’t breathe and they think they are going to suffocate. HCQ +Zn + Zpak has them recovered within 24 hours. While they are recovering they are hospitalized.

But patients with severe health conditions who are hospitalized will not recover miraculously using HCQ or anything else.

Dr. Zelenko’s fire analogy is a good one. Those that see a fire break out and respond quickly will experience minimal damage. Those that respond slowly allowing the fire to rage out of control will see their house burn down. Nothing can save a burning house that is engulfed in flames. A fire department can put the fire out but the damage is so extensive the house is lost.

Replace ‘fire’ with ‘COVID’, ‘house’ with ‘life’, and you have a very good analogy.

HCQ + Zn + Zpak used as a prophylactic will prevent the fire from ever breaking out in the first place.

Oxygen isn’t a cure either but patients will die if they don’t get it.

Dr. Z protocol is Trump Pills 💊 + ZINC, and early. I totally discount any study that lacks zinc, which is supposed to be the active ingredient.

Read the original study.
They did not use HCQ + AZT + Zinc. Just HCQ alone.

Will Fauchi and Dr. Brix be working there this November? Even if they’re doing a good job I’d let them go just to push the left over the edge. He’s older than Pelosi.

Kind of like the polio vaccine being useless when you’re already in the iron lung. You’re supposed to start the regimen BEFORE the immune overreaction occurs so you don’t wind up in the hospital in the first place.

Politically toxic, hydroxychloroquine cannot be true-fully written about; doctors are the worst politicians, often misinformed, out of touch and arrogant to top it off.
