Red China was ALWAYS the real threat after the fall of the Soviet Union.
he was expressing his confidence in the superiority of the Soviet system and the eventual collapse of the capitalist West.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He may not have been wrong.
Our brainwashed youth are burning our cities demanding communism.
These are the fruit of seeds laid by the KGB decades ago.
China faces an impossible demographic implosion.
The war is over.
They lost.
Did Xi edit this for them?
More Pablum / Happy Talk from Wall Street bankers (i.e. Biden Campaign Financiers) who are simply loaning us our own money back from China and charging us a service fee to justify their
existence.
No one, let me repeat, no one trusts Communist China.
A decline in the birth rate and an increase in life expectancy means there will soon be too few workers able to support an enormous and aging population.
I disagree. China is a major threat and the longer that threat is ignored the worse it will become. Unless we start turning it around right now.
As far as their productive capacity, China is in a much better position. Factor in that America’s decades old welfare system has outgrown the taxpayers ability to pay for it, it is clear America is in big trouble.
China has surpassed the U.S. in many ways. America is rotting out morally and politically—look all around you. The government is full of traitors who are trying to take the country down, the country is controlled by rioters and far left Marxists who are trying to force everyone to submit to their agenda. The U.S. is on the verge of collapse.
Bullcrap.
China is an existential threat to America.
They threaten us in EVERY WAY.
Every way. Militarily. Economically. They have bought off entire major parts of our economy. They pilfer our financial strength. We import EVERYTHING from there, and we are losing to them in virtually every single aspect.
Our system is entirely sold out to them.
It has just taken just 30 years, for China to inflict such damage.
Because everyone, in both political parties, is completely sold out.
Except for, maybe Trump.
:)
Communist China:
Biggest debt bubble EVER.
Biggest currency printing bubble EVER.
I doubt we will have to wait until 2040 (as the article suggests) to see then slow down.
As long as President Trump is our President I agree. I Biden somehow gets to be President there will be loud cheering in China.
Great article. They caught the coming demographic crash China will experience. But the Wuhan flu and the current trade war with the US may hurt them sooner.
For those who don’t know, China’s ‘One Child’ policy created about 140 million more men than women. Without childbearing women, the population crashes.
Demographics are destiny.
Jeeze. This sounds like the USA today.
What a strange and uninformed statement: History is on our side.
That flucker should have been saying that treachery, double-dealing and espionage was working in their favor.
"Over the past decade in U.S. war games against China, the U.S. has nearly a perfect record: we have lost almost every single time.
"The American people do not know this. Most members of Congress do not know this -- even though they should. But in the Department of Defense, this is a well known fact."
He feels China has checkmated the U.S. in projection of military power. The author, a former staff director of the Senate Armed Services Committee, says:
"China may be capable of denying domininace to America, but America can do the same to China. And that should be our goal: preventing China from achieving a position of military dominance in Asia."
Bullshit from a once good magazine. It is precisely when Red China’s economic decline begins that they become militarily aggressive against Hong Kong (who’s going to defend them, SecDef Esper, Mattis, Gen. Allen?), Taiwan (possibly hit by small nukes, the islands around the Philippines, Vietnam, Japan, etc.
A wounded communist beast is most dangerous when it feels that it is losing power.
I’m sure that Pres. Joe Biden will act decisively after he decides that the Republic of China/Taiwan/Quemoy/Matsu is the enemy, not Peking.
It’s an interesting article, but it ignores the cause of the failures of communist governments. Communist governments have always been corrupt. The reason is simple. In communist governments, political power is given only to people who are loyal to the regime. It is not given to success, it is given to pander. The most corrupt rise to the top, and simply do not have the background and skills to make successful business decisions.
As with any business with corrupt leaders, the entire organization becomes corrupt as well and cannot compete with organizations driven by success. In a system driven by free enterprise, bad business decisions lead to the failure of the business. In a communist system, bad business decisions are irrelevant, and the businesses irreparably suffer from languish and strain.
Nonsensical headline. Which is it?
