An Idea Whose Time Has Come

An Idea Whose Time Has Come

This may take a bit but I do have a goal in mind regarding solutions toward the real and perceived racism in America.

On June 10, 1964, Everett Dirksen (R-IL), the Republican Leader in the U.S. Senate, condemned the Democrats’ 57-day filibuster against the 1964 Civil Rights Act. Leading the Democrats in their opposition to civil rights for African-Americans was Senator Robert Byrd (D-WV). Byrd spoke against the bill for fourteen straight hours. Democrats still call Robert Byrd “the conscience of the Senate.”

Senator Everett Dirkesen broke the Democrat’s record breaking filibuster by referring to Victor Hugo’s observation.

Nothing is Stronger than an Idea whose Time has come – The Life of Victor Hugo

In his speech, Senator Dirksen called on the Democrats to end their filibuster and accept racial equality as something whose time had come.

My point is that the time has come to break the cherished tradition that exist at almost all levels of community against snitching. It Is Time to Snitch

There, with that off my chest I’ll explain my experiences and observation that causes me to take that position.

The bible and quotations offer boundaries for discussions but it remains, “He who dares not offend cannot be honest.” -- Thomas Paine

I believe the true respecter of the black community has to be the black community itself. A black community makes its own reputation and I know of no laws that could direct a community’s reputation.

What I am approaching is that it is time for the black communities to snitch. They know better, if not best, who causes the trouble.

I am working backwards to arrive at what started this line of thought. The next question is to seek what right white men experience denied to black men. After indentifying the denied right correct it in law.

When laws have corrected it what is left is in the hearts and minds of the people. Their perceptions of the black community form their hearts and minds.

“If violent crime is to be curbed, it is only the intended victim who can do it. The felon does not fear the police, and he fears neither judge nor jury. Therefore, what he must be taught to fear is his victim.” Lt. Col. Jeff Cooper, U.S.M.C

That observation helps by example to explain my belief that only the black community can change its reputation. Laws will never be enough without becoming tyrannical.

The code of not snitching may have been to protect the community from outside forces, not to protect from inside forces. I believe that not snitching in today’s black communities is not by code but by fear.

This doesn’t stop with the black community this involves the police community as well. It is time to snitch. Who knows better than the good police who the bad police are?

KEYWORDS: come; idea; time
My thoughts here came from listening to a young black man addressing the black community with a telephone youtube video, which I located and if I can remember how to offer the link in HTML I shall. Fredrick Wilson II (hear what he has to say)

The recent behavior of black rioters, looters and arsonists has probably created many new racists.

This guy just applies common sense. No surprise.

I’ve got a couple of black millennial friends who have independents brains and want to go in a different direction than the plantation rats want them to go.

Not all of are sheep.

I think it’s gotten many fence sitters visiting gun shops. That’s a good thing

Is being anti barbarian the same as being racist?

The outcome would have been so different if storekeepers would have opened up on looters with Ar-15’s and 1911’s. The looters would remember for the rest of their lives. Seeing cops walking backwards as the mob walked forward should send chills up the spines of wellmeaning Americans.
It can now be understood why this country voted for Omamba TWICE. What good is a 2nd Amendment when no one dares to make use of it.

What good is a 2nd Amendment when no one dares to make use of it.

Here in New Jersey it may as well not exist. It is almost impossible for a normal but not "connected" law abiding citizen to get a carry permit. And if you exercise your second amendment rights without permission from the almighty state you are no longer a law abiding citizen.

What is so confusing to them about the phrase "shall not be infringed"?

And organizations like the NRA are happy enough to take your membership fees, but I see no indication that they are spending them to fight this state tyranny.
