Tribalism.
Most Americans want to be one tribe. The left wants us to be many because they can play tribes off one another.
E Pluribus Unum indeed.
It’s called “Balkanization”.
Tito was able to keep Yugoslavia united, through intimidation.
Once he passed away, it was only a matter of time before the old grievances returned and you got what you got in The Balkans in the 90s.
It didn’t take intimidation for people to unite here, it was a given that you melted in.
But suddenly our education system started telling children that the “Melting Pot” was a racist concept, meant to keep Whites in power. And thus, began “The Road to Balkanization”, and now, here we are!

That’s a very dangerous game with unknown consequences.
The head of the ANC in South Africa tried to take down the Zulus. Goodwill Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu, the Zulu big chief, threatened to unleash his tribesmen on the ANC. Zulus make up about 80% of the military and are skilled fighters. The ANC had to give a big payoff to Goodwill - including land and gold - in order to calm him down.
