Having grown up in Chicago the damage done by the King Riots ( NOT “uprising”) on Madison Street was there for decades.
Funny how certain areas never seem to have the work ethic required to repair and rebuild. Much of New Orleans looks just as it did after Hurricane Katrina. They’re still waiting for somebody else to do it for them. It’s learned helplessness.
