We can be sure Xi and his advisers are well aware of this as they ramp up their aggression against Hong Kong, India, and those who threaten it in the South China Sea.
Xi is in a vice...getting squeezed on one hand by world leaders who blame him for failing to alert them about the coronavirus and, on the other, getting pressured by his pro-aggression advisers who encourage him to be bold. As an aside, it should be noted that Xi may be a bolder and more aggressive hawk than his advisers.

Most of the world leaders are either afraid to upset Xi, have been bought off by the Chinese, or have allowed the Chinese to be $ignificantly pre$ent in$ide their own countries. I don’t see a squeeze by these Neville Chamberlains.
The Chinese greatly affect decisions made in the C-suites and boardrooms of US companies.

For one example, you think we’ll get robust discussion/reporting on China from Disney-owned ABC News, when Disney could have their Chinese them park shut down and their next movie release prevented from being distributed in China on a whim from Xi and the CCP?
I think the only countries China is worried about are the U.S., UK, Australia, and India. The Western European countries in the EU have sold out. Perhaps some of the Eastern European countries will be troublesome for China as will some of those in SE Asia.
