What a dumb CNN article. Another, “the end is near”. Reads like a front runner hype story for the shorts!

Things are not looking good for November. Maybe that’s part of the roil in the markets?
profit taking
Dow plummets 1,700 points as HEDGE FUNDERS
grow fearful about the economy
More likely grounded in fears of anarchy in blue states and whether they will weather the progressive storm thrust upon 40% of the nations economic might.
Nasdaq led on the way up.
Dow will now lead on the way down.
Better buys back near the previous bottom.
‘What increasing probability is that?’
replace ‘probability’ with ‘possibility’ and his statement stands...Biden could very well pull off the upset, and Trump could very easily gain his second term...
Market behavior last week defied reality
I agree. I sold out on the bounce back up. Still kicking myself for not selling when I knew to back when it all started. Given the market is not rational, I dont think I will buy back in until late summer or early fall but market will determine my response. I think it will fall much further.
Disclaimer- I am an idiot who offers poor financial advice.
My 401K has gone up a lot since the end of May and I haven’t taken a hit. I have VERY little in there (below $50,000) and my pay was just hit for a 15% reduction. Any of you wise ones think this is a good time to cash it in? I have 7 months until I’m 65, so it would come in handy, but I have nooooo money savvy!
if you want to just keep it for 7 months and not risk losing it, then best to move any stock funds into the low risk category. But if you want to try and ride it higher you risk going lower too.
Thanks.
Buy when blood is running in the streets.
The more they test the more cases they find, and by trying to artificially flatten the curve this result was entirely predictable.
And nothing to get hung about...
I dont know anything about why the marker does what it does. The economy isnt great. Unemployment is higher than along time. Multiple industries need bailouts. Why did the marker spike. IDK
