CHICAGO - More than a dozen Chicago police officers and supervisors were captured on video “lounging” inside a burglarized congressional campaign office and even appeared to be making popcorn and brewing coffee as people vandalized and stole from nearby businesses as protests and unrest spread across the city, a visibly angry Mayor Lori Lightfoot said Thursday.
U.S. Rep. Bobby Rush, a Democrat whose district includes much of the city’s South Side and southern suburbs, said his staff first viewed the video and he brought it to Lightfoot on Wednesday.
The footage was taken on May 31 and early June 1, as police received widespread reports of vandalism, theft and arson in neighborhoods on the city’s South and West sides, officials said. Chicago, like other U.S. cities, saw large protests overshadowed by criminal activity in the days following George Floyd’s death in custody after a white Minneapolis police officer pressed his knee into the black man’s neck for several minutes.
Lightfoot, who described herself as “angry” and “disgusted” by the actions shown on video, said the department’s Internal Affairs division and the Civilian Office of Police Accountability are investigating.

I do. Every one of the these incidents involving unprofessional police officers occurred in Democrat run cities. This should be our mantra.

Yea and they were told to watch the office of U.S. Rep. Bobby Rush who is a Democrat. Still 13 officers? They need the whole police force to watch one office?
I’d say that Bobby probably left a box of leftover Krispy Kremes next to the coffee pot in his office. The cops were on them like wharf rats.
If all the good cops leave for greener pastures, what’s left? Yep, you guessed it.
Rush is an old Black Panther leader, the group that killed almost 20 police officers during their rampage of terror across the US.
He’s also Marxist clown but that’s Chicago politics. Screw that city.

We want them out in the streets with their hands tied behind their backs while being pummeled with rocks and bottles and maybe shot to death. And if they dare harm these peaceful protesters we will prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law
The FOP supports and donates overwhelmingly to Democrats.
If I remember correctly,Barack Obama tried to win Bobby Rush’s seat. He got crushed. At that time he was not considered black enough for the South Side.
Good cops are leaving, and thanks to public sector unions, firing bad ones is next to impossible.

Popcorn Story Falling Apart
Even parts of the media are smelling Groot’s b*llsh*t:
It was an assigned detail. Rush has been lying his entire life, from the “racial profiling” that didn't happen, to being the insider who set up Fred Hampton. Groot’s hatred of the CPD has blinded her to this fact.
