The Washington Post on Thursday opened an online interview with Valerie Jarrett about race with a montage of peaceful protests and an appraisal of them in the wake of George Floyds death from her former boss, Barack Obama.
When sometimes I feel despair I just see whats happening with young people all across the country and the talent, and the voice, the sophistication that they are displaying and it makes me feel optimistic, Obama said. It makes me feel this country is going to get better.
Washington Post columnist Karen Tumulty called the protests sparked after Floyd, a black man who died at the hands of Minneapolis police, peaceful and made no mention of the widespread violence at many of them.
That violence has taken place in major American cities over the past two weeks where stores were looted and burned, monuments and historic buildings vandalized, and police were driven out of their precincts, some of which were set ablaze or taken over by protesters.

I always thought of obama as being more like Xerxes, as illustrated in the movie 300 being effeminate, despotic, and decadent.
It makes me feel this country is going to get better.
His and his supporters idea of change.
Remember in 2008 he campaigned on “fundamentally changing America” and everybody nodded their head. Do you realize that he never once explained what that fundamental change would be and no one ever asked, including our inquisitive media.
‘Fundamentally flawed’ and in need of being ‘fundamentally transformed’.
By what cruel trick did he become President?
People weren’t paying attention, their understanding was only skin deep.
He needs to be punched in the mouth by someone whose business has been burned down by obama’s terrorists.
Manchurian Candidate Barack Hussein Obama is Apollyon, the Destroyer.
He certainly acts like it.
A silver-tongued devil that beckons his adoring fools to disaster and destruction. They do his destruction at his bidding.
