I was refused service last week at a fast food restaurant I used to patronize fairly regularly before the epidemic. “Forget about it, I’m not wearing any damn mask,” I said, and walked out.
I will not patronize them again. The food is good but the staff are zombies.
Down here in sunny Soutwest Florida, we haven’t been burdened by any mask edicts from the government.
But I still see a lot of sheeple wearing the disgusting things when I make my semi-weekly grocery run to Publix or Aldi.
I might note that the mask wearers tend to be mature females, but I’ve seen males and females of all ages putting themselves through this uncomfortable and humiliating routine ... and for what benefit?
It’s very strange. I have to admit that I flipped out last week when I went into a small shop I used to patronize and was handed a mask and told to put it on. I had actually gone in there basically to support the business, which had just reopened, and I hadn’t noticed the masks required sign on the door.
I started to put it on and suddenly I just couldn’t do it. I felt like I was suffocating and I snatched it off and threw it on the counter and left. I was a little embarrassed at myself later for making a scene, but I just couldn’t bear having that thing on, between the discomfort and the symbolic message.
Oddly enough, in my city some of the most dedicated mask wearers seem to be youngIsh white men, who glare at people not wearing masks. I’ve even seen some wearing the “industrial strength” masks with charcoal filters. It’s very weird to be surrounded by such fear and suspicion.
Right there with you! And the old ladies are becoming more like nazis every day! I had one say to me the other day, “you are risking MY life by not wearing a mask”. I’m like huh? I said to her, “if you’re so scared of the world, stay home. I will never bow to YOUR fears!”
It’s like they have the mask of protection on and feel they have the right to accost others in public! I’m done being nice. I’ve said many many choice words to these jerk offs and laugh at their stupidity. But they start it, not me.
Masks are a sign of submission. I instantly assume now that all mask wearers are democrats and cnn viewers. At least the enemy is wearing a uniform now that makes them easy to identify.
