'I'm getting all sorts of excuses of why I can't give my brother the honorable service and burial that he is is entitled to. He was promised that in the event of death, this country will take care of you.'
Master Sgt. Joseph Wynne Velasquez served his country in the U. S. Army for more than 20 years. He deployed once to Macedonia, twice to Iraq, and then to Afghanistan. He has six children, a grandson, and a wife of 19 years.
Between him and his brother Phillip James Velasquez, Jr., their mother Wilma Maria endured a son in a combat zone for nearly eight long years, keeping a yellow ribbon tied in the front yard of the trailer she shares with her husband and the boys father Phillip James, a San Felipe Pueblo Indian who served 20 years himself, including three tours in Vietnam.

What are Americans who have been forbidden to hold funerals for their loved ones to think when they see George Floyd get three?
Some animals are more equal than others.
Ain't that the truth? It's the SAD truth.
It has become pretty obvious this is no longer about our health. It is all politics now.
NM Ping.
The left thinks they are keeping us down and showing us whose boss.
What they are really doing is turning more people against them by the day.
I went to a graveside funeral in NM. We were told we had to stay in our cars, everyone got out.
Ignoring authority figures is all the rage these days.
I’m getting virus fatigue and pissed off that people/patriots aren’t outright defying these anti constitutional edicts. Just do it en mass. The Left is defying the law. Are we no less fearless? To Hell with this hyped up hysteria. Are you a mouse or an American? I choose the latter.
Why don’t people JUST START HAVING SOME KIND OF SERVICE? They can’t put EVERYONE in jail!
This is a complete travesty!!!!
This governor should be removed from office...
As a veteran myself, I salute the Valesquez family and thank and honor them for their service to our country...
We have a family friend, who earned a Purple Heart in WWII, who recently passed....and, due to the plandemic, cannot have more than 10 people attend his outdoor, graveside service.
Agree. Loved ones and friends should just show up. They can say it’s a ‘peaceful protest’.
I just used my constititional rights. I didn’t burn or loot one thing, I didn’t shoot or harm anyone, I didn’t deface even one gravestone.
Our governor is a democrat idiot who would have us confined inside our houses since March.
I go to church too, we sit inside.
I was just walking down my street 20 minutes ago.
Some mexican sounding guy screamed at me while driving by for not wearing a mask..
Some animals are more equal than others.
It sure is. A friend of mine passed recently. His wife had arranged for a military funeral for his service and he was a LEO for years and his fellow officers would have acknowledged his service. No funeral except for 10 including family then burial......his wife said he deserved so much more...and he wasn’t alone......crying shame all over the country!!!
Why dont people JUST START HAVING SOME KIND OF SERVICE? They cant put EVERYONE in jail!
Ha! Reminds me what Phil Robertson said recently......go to work and go to church......they haven’t got enough jails to arrest everyone.....I tend to agree. I’m sick of this crap and more cynical every day......I think we’re being played. The leftists/globalists have no limits on what they’ll do to destroy this country and even more President Trump!
Plus...they were/are releasing Criminals from jail...because...COVID! !
I have a friend whose husband was hospitalized with a horrible reaction to a chemo drug. It affected his mind and he was fighting and screaming and they wouldn’t let his wife be with him. She called a lawyer in the middle of the night and they let her in. She wasn’t allowed to leave his room but she didn’t care.
I would go bonkers if my Hubby were in the hospital and I couldn’t be with him. I’d have to bring in legal help. My heart aches for all those who have died alone.....;(
