India does not have remotely the capacity to “bloody” China’s nose... if a hot war were to break out between these two countries, India would be overrun almost instantly.

They don’t have the military capacity, let alone the fighting skills and discipline to take on the Chinese Military in open conflict.

It would be a bloodbath for India, if these two nations had an open hot conflict.

That depends on how high or low India’s Godzilla Threshold is. If they start losing, India might start slinging nukes - and they have a particularly nasty delivery system in the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile.

But, would India be alone? China would have long supply lines and India would be fighting a defensive war that could rally support. Pakistan might join the war on China’s side but what of other lands? Vietnam? England? and the USA? It could devolve into a naval war for control of Indian Ocean. Lastly, it could go nuke. How many cities is China willing to lose? 5? 10? 20? In such a war No one will win.
