Is the Columbus statue outside the convention center on 33rd st.
I think I saw it in ‘77 when I went to the NY bike show. I was lucky and had a friend who grew up in Manhattan to make sure I didn’t die.
It’s further up in Columbus Circle.
You may have seen it and just got the street wrong.
Or there may be a statue of him and/or others on 33rd street :)
I worked there 20 years and went all over Manhattan.
It’s been 12 years since I’ve worked there and I forgot almost everything :)
