Pennsylvania sues to stop car show over crowd size even after Gov. Wolf marched in protest two weeks earlier

The Pennsylvania Department of Health Wednesday morning sued a company putting on a massive car show in Carlisle, Pa., despite the state's coronavirus restrictions, even as officials like Gov. Tom Wolf encouraged huge protests in the wake of the death of George Floyd.

The show, called Spring Carlisle, calls itself "one of the largest automotive flea markets in the world and one of the best opportunities to get your hands on all things automotive." Organizers of the event, which began Wednesday morning despite the suit and is set to run into the weekend, are asking attendees to wear face masks and social distance and are providing "sanitation stations" for disinfecting and washing hands.

But the show, in asking for a waiver excepting it to state regulations earlier this month, said it anticipated a crowd of about 100,000 at the automotive bonanza — something state Health Secretary Rachel Levine found unacceptable, given the 250-person cap on gatherings in the state, even for counties in the "green" reopening phase.

They should display a few BLM cars and call it a protest show.

Equal justice under the law.

After the demonstrations there is no basis for denying assembly.

I will be shocked if Trump is able to have a rally in any blue state. In fact I will a little surprised if the Tulsa one actually happens. Three days is still plenty of time for some hack Judge to issue an injunction.

It’s an open and shut First Amendment case.

Well, at least until it lands on Neil Gorsuch’s desk.

“...Well, thanks to SCOTUS, the PA health director’s job is safe....”

Yeah, HIS job may be safe...at least for now, but it still makes MR. Levine a mental case, and HE should not be allowed anywhere near any form of control or power, especially in govt. Putting this imbecile in this position speaks volumes about the governor and merry band of evil minions.
BTW, I’m going to the Chryslers at Carlisle show next month.
MR. Levine, and HIS insane buddies can all go pack sand where the sun don’t shine. Fricken’ libs are a basket case.

Pat Robertson’s Operation Rescue managed to drive the nusto Ohio Health Director from office by tracking down her mother and extracting tales of mental illness, drug addiction and false rape accusations which they published.

Maybe Pat will do us a solid and run a similar investigation on Levine. Has to be some juicy dirt out there on a person who looks like THAT.

For one thing, persistent rumors that when she was a he, it was a deadbeat dad.

At last year’s Chrysler show, there were at least a dozen ‘69 Chargers “decorated” the way you described. This year? Not sure if any of em will show up...they might.
