Why even have a Congress”
Well, it makes the cattle (”unwashed masses”) feel like they are actually accomplishing something by voting. It keeps them calm and stable so they’re able to be “milked” every April 15th.
Other than that, there is no reason that I’m aware of. We’re ruled by our owners: the elite tyrants in black robes.

This destroys women’s sports.

Brought to you by 3 female SCOTUS justices.

“Meh...the legislative and judicial branches don’t mind spending either.”

They can’t spend. Only the executive has the checkbook.

Actually a transgender person could be discriminated against in a hiring/disciplinary decision since the discrimination is not based upon sex but upon behavior. Has very little to do with sex, IMO.

Funny, I thought fiscal policy was the responsibility of the President AND Congress. Changing taxes and raising/lowering spending starts in House (theoretically) and then proceeds trough the Senate to be ultimately accepted or rejected by the President.

But only the president has the checkbook.

Frankly, the congress has nothing to do with it. They are SUPPOSED to tell the president where to spend the money but they have yet to produce a budget in a dozen years.

“We just let the executive spend like a drunken sailor.”

I object to that expression because I used to BE a drunken sailor, in fact I was a TEENAGE drunken sailor! In my days as a teenage drunken sailor I admit to spending part of my pay unwisely but I NEVER went into debt. In fact after serving three years of active duty I came out with over five hundred dollars, it may not sound like much now but it bought me a ‘57 Chevy Belair back then. Maybe we need to put a teenage drunken sailor in charge of the federal budget.
