WFTV Orlando Florida reports record-breaking 3,200 new COVID-19 cases; 6 deaths reported locally The Florida Department of Health on Thursday reported 3,207 new cases of the coronavirus statewide since Wednesday, bringing the total to 85,926 cases.
The agency also reported 43 more deaths statewide since Wednesday, bringing the virus’ death toll to 3,061 people.
Six of those deaths happened in Central Florida -- Lake County reported three new deaths since Wednesday; and Seminole, Volusia and Polk counties each reported one new death.
So far, more than 1.4 million tests have come back negative. The positivity rate is now at 5.3% statewide.

From DeSantis: The increase in new cases is due to more testing.
The Florida DOH is going into the migrant labor camps, jails, and prisons and testing everybody and getting 30% to 70% positive test results.
And most of the folks with positive test results are having zero symptoms.
And most of the folks with positive test results are in the under 50 age group where the probability of death is on the order of 10%.

Under 50 it’s more like 1 in 1,000, far less than 10%.
We’re these people from out of state? And, they never tell us how many have been cured, they just keep adding to the total.

The death rate for all cases included is now around 5.8% for the U.S. This does not take into account those with permanent damage from the disease, or who still haven’t recovered. You can be sick 6-8 weeks or longer with this.

Depends on who is doing the test, who is recording the test, who is counting the test and who is reporting the results.

If the health dept has the order to report x% new positives, then lo and behold whoops there it is!
The truth is in hospitalizations numbers, BUT only if the diagnosis is correct and then reported correctly.
Expect unrelenting 24/7 coverage of everyone who sneezes in Florida from now until the RNC convention (while ignoring the only number that really matters, i.e. deaths).
