And so the erasure of history begins now in West Virginia. Would love to have a sign and plaque business in the Mountain State. Literally hundreds of places in WV are named after the Grand Kleagle.

I always said that they would only take Byrd’s name off of places only so they could put it back at a later date.
To: buckalfa
This removing of Byrd’s name will be quite expensive. Highways to outhouses carry his moniker.

Whoa! NOT enough! That building was built with racist blood money. Remove the name? No, tear that building down!

I hate to say it but Harry Truman used the “N” word in conversations as reported by his daughter. He was probably the greatest Democrat to ever hold the office of president. Sorry folks, Harry has to go, statue, pictures, tear down his library.

College health centers spend most of their time testing and treating STD’s.
Perhaps they can rename it after Bill Clinton.

Byrd’s name is everywhere on everything in WV. It’s pervasive. Changing/doing away with it will take a life time.

I think one of the good things from all this is that many black people are going to realize that White Liberals have never been their friends, just as Malcolm X tried to tell them years ago.

How about renaming the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton. Wilson was the most virulent racist president in the 20th century, and possibly in the entire history of our country. Nothing in the US should bear his name.

Snort. Every other bridge and building in WVa is named after the ol’ grand kleagle. The stone cutters and sign makers are in for a windfall.
