Whatever - I wouldn’t say no to a free meal of chicken and waffles. Actually, now I’m hungry for chicken and waffles.
In Los angeles there is a chain called “Roscoes house of chicken and waffles.” No one has called them racist. Why?

We have local convenience/grocery stores in rural Kentucky that make great fried chicken and fried fish. You'd never know by the outside. Even have one convenience store/gas station in town that caters weddings. Beat that ha ha.
Waffles with butter and real maple syrup. Yum. Although I don't get the "racist" thing about waffles? Are Belgian waffles racist? New one on me.
One side of my family is pure bred Savannah, GA folks. Fried chicken, corn bread, mashed potatoes, butter beans and okra are Sunday staples. As far as I know there are no black people in my family. Does this mean we can't eat these delicacies any more? What's next? Shrimp and blue crabs to be banned?
Like Popeye said, "that's all I can stands, I can't stands no more". Effs the matter with these people anyway?
“...now Im hungry for chicken and waffles....”
And those waffles were made from AUNT JEMIMA pancake and waffle mix, right???
I was too lazy to make waffles so I had chicken and pancakes last night.
They should have saved it for Jazz Appreciation Week.
The Chicken and Waffles thing was started down in New Orleans. The Jazz players would get done playing, pack up and then head for something to eat at 4 am.
“No - it’s dinner time. No - it’s breakfast time....” So they combined the two. It is yummy. The sauce makes all the difference.
