why issue tickets in advance?

Just announce the place, date and time of the rally and whomever shows up gets in, space permitting.

Next time, charge for tickets..20 bucks per ticket, you dont show up, no money back, that way if they dont arrive fine, Trump still gets the 20 bucks per ticket

Wouldn’t that be simple. But no, the campaign freaks need to get all of their data for the fake news outlets.

“Why issue tickets in advance?”
Because registration for the tickets gives the campaign a data awe of supporters.

That’s what I say.

Tickets aren’t needed to get in anyway. Rather than a ticket, put a form online that people can print off and fill out. Have that completed form serve as a ticket. First come (with completed form), first serve. That way, they collect their data, and eliminate a TON of work keeping track of and sending out tickets.

The advance request for a ticket allows Trump campaign to gather your email and other information. If people just showed up, the campaign would not be able to milk all that data for future.

These rallies are more about data collection for voters than 19,000 people cheering in an arena.

Yes, they are fun to watch and they generate enthusiasm, but they generate new voter information and voters.

The process tracks people.

Letting people in anonymously... not a great idea.

Somehow I think the Secret Service wants the current setup.

“Just announce the place, date and time of the rally and whomever shows up gets in, space permitting.”

because they want contact and demographic data at the time you signup for a ticket for subsequent campaign use ... entry is first-come-first-serve as long as you have a ticket ...
