I don't know but I predicted it would come to this back about 2005. Serious question. Nationalist Freepers often parade their patriotic feelings here by displaying contempt for the South and demanding all reminders of the Confederacy be expunged. Do you not now see where this has led? Theodore Roosevelt was about the most nationalist American President ever. He positively rejoiced in the growth and power of the United States and (unlike lib idols Woodrow Wilson and FDR) went out of his way to risk life and limb on the battlefield to show how American he was. Now one of the major representations of TR is to be purged. It will not stop here. Hamilton, Washington and eventually Lincoln and FDR and I suppose JFK will become targets for these communists who are successfully erasing our history right in front of our eyes.

I share Teddy’s view of using the term hyphenated Americans which is what your, in name only, so called democrat party exploits. When mine came here they Anglicized the last name and may have used German as a second language but were 100% American and fought them in WW1.

I agree with him too. I throw around the word Italian on here just because it’s shorter than (Americans of Italian descent) and a lot of my experiences come from that background.

But of course the vast majority of us are very patriotic.
