Yes, but now, just like corporate America, the chain of command must take serious every flippant charge of racism and investigate. In this process you are guilty until proven innocent, and more than 1 accusation, and you are automatically adjudicated guilty.
We only had a few “Black Guys” in our company. One was a cook, and quite “Gay”. He stayed outside of the normal activities with some guy from Motor Pool. The others were members of the team. Can’t say if anybody made life long relationships, or not, other then the two above maybe, but we all got along fine, and there was camaraderie.
I have never experienced racism within the military. Only in the community outside it. I will tell you I heard racist comments from whites while stationed in South Carolina. And I can tell you this. If you are white and go to Wendy’s to get a hamburger, you will not be served by the black staff.
I don’t get it, but it happens.
Personally, I think such a survey should be done on members of Congress staffs. That would be much more informative.
Do they mean racism like when they tell white ROTC candidates they can only get a scholarship for Engineering or Weather but if they were black they could get a scholarship for any degree?
Unless theyve changed drastically, the racial sensitivity classes would qualify.
They forgot skinhead and Klan. It looks like they're trying to stir up racism. Problem is, those groups only exist in the imaginations of the race baiters.
That was my immediate impression.
We need to get this damned social engineering out of our armed forces!
More testing equals more positive results. Just like COVID.
Ive been asked about this in every command climate survey Ive ever seen.
