I think you may not be clear on why the supreme court blocked this. It has nothing to do with deportation, or the rights of the people affected by DACA, it was simply because the paper work was poorly written and incomplete.

Trump isn't a lawyer, and didn't tell Sessions how to right the rescission. The supreme court overruled the recision because it was poorly written, and didn't comply with Administrative Procedure Act. I.e., it was completely incompetent.

Bill Barr is resubmitting the paperwork to get rid of DACA, and I guarantee he will get it right, unlike the moron Sessions.

I have not read the Supreme Court case yet.

I assume it is exactly the same case that Judge Alsup decided in January 2018.

Alsup wrote this at the top of Page 2:

“All agree that a new administration is entitled to replace old policies with new policies so long as they comply with the law.”

Alsup then went on to note that Trump's Executive Order (written under the name of Sessions) simply wanted to terminate Obama’s DACA, which raised a multitude of legal issues.

Alsup bluntly asks Trump - why don't you just write a new policy that accomplishes your same goals?

Bingo!

Trump cannot write a new policy, because then it would become obvious that he - Trump - has no intention of deporting the DACA kids.
