Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey has asked for help from local and federal agencies to respond to a spate of gun violence in the city that continued Monday.
Nine people were shot in three separate incidents in north Minneapolis, the Star Tribune reports, though it's not clear if the incidents were related to each other, or to the shooting in Uptown Minneapolis that killed Cody Pollard, 27, and wounded 11 others on Saturday.
The mayor said the city will receive assistance from the Hennepin County Sheriff's Department, Metro Transit Police, the State Patrol, the FBI, the Secret Service, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) to investigate the shootings.

Well, well, well. You want to defund local police but then turn around and call in the FBI and Secret Service? That’ll cost you Frey, as they’re federally funded from ALL our tax money. Maybe you can take it out of the salaries of your marxist city council?

Oh good...the taxpayers around the country have to help pay to control the mess that Minneapolis created for itself.
“There have been several instances in which law enforcement, and our police officers have responded to a very serious critical incident, in some cases involving loss of life, where they’ve been surrounded, pelted bottles, rocks, or even worse,” Frey said. “That is not a dynamic that will lead to success, that is not a dynamic that will lead to public safety. And it certainly does not serve the victims of shootings or any other form of violence.”
This sounds like someone is mocking Frey.
What? Is the FBI expected to be honest, competent and efficient?

Very disturbing to see the increase in violence in these Minneapolis neighborhoods.
I think they should come up with some sort of locally based organized law enforcement organization - trained professionals, armed and prepared to solve these sorts of problems. Maybe they could have their own cars with flashing lights and sirens?
Mayor Frey should form a committee to look into the feasibility of starting such an organization.
The people in Minneapolis need to suffer for their stupidity.
Not sure about this one ... but I would not be surprised if the dems tried to set up a situation to get video of feds firing on locals.

Smart move by him actually. Defund police, spend the money on liberal projects, and then get U.S. taxpayer funded agencies to do the work gratis. Win-win for him.
Another liberal expense for us to pay for.
