Bolton Would Consider Testifying Against AG Barr

John Bolton would consider testifying against Attorney General William Barr if House Democrats were to call him, he told The Washington Post in an interview Tuesday.

"I'll certainly consider it if and when it comes up and consult with my lawyers and try and do the right thing," Bolton told The Post's Robert Costa in a virtual interview.

The House Judiciary Committee is preparing to subpoena AG Barr in an investigation into the firing of Southern District of New York U.S. Attorney Geoffrey Berman last weekend.

"You know I'd rather not get into a hypothetical about that," Bolton told Costa. "Let's see what they do. The way they mishandled the impeachment inquiry gives me pause, I have to say — especially in light of the circumstances of things that President [Donald] Trump has done to prevent the book itself from being from being published."

Bolton admits speaking out against Trump's actions during a presidential campaign is his way to try and undo Dems' "mistake" of not only not deterring him with an impeachment that fizzled in the Senate, but also but "enabling" him going forward.

“I’ll say and do anything to help me sell more books,” Bolton added.

I don’t think there is a Democrat alive who could make Barr sweat.
He roasts these fools and they have no idea how stupid he leaves them looking.
I can’t wait!

You mean like insisting that you live up to the agreement that you signed to have the book vetted for classified or restricted information?

Good analysis.

Bolton is like a boasting, swaggering drunk loser everybody tries to avoid.

Didn't Biden once threaten to take Trump behind a garage and beat him with his fists? Such a statesman./s With any decent Americans left Biden should be 35% behind.

Today in an interview with Brian Kilmeade, I heard Trump say Bolton should be behind bars. I agree 100%.

Bolton is a lying scumbag. A wormonger responsible for the deaths of thousands based upon his lies. He brags about lying if it starts wars.

Unfortunately, the rule of law only applies to little people like you and me We get traffic tickets for making mistakes.

The scum of the earth like Obama, Hillary, Comey, Bolton etc get away with high crimes, but they will never be convicted.

Our justice system is a joke

I saw the Brett Baier interview with Bolton. JB sounded like a wonky double talker.

So he said if asked to testify, he’d “consider” it after consulting with his attorneys. IOW he said nothing.

nobody cares what Bolton has to say anymore, he’s destroyed any credibility he may have once had (and right or wrong, I used to think he had something useful to offer....)

our modern politics are interesting... especially how a number of people really turn out rotten in office or on the political stage

I realize that politics nowadays involves tons of money, bribes, sellouts, many many opportunities to become political whores.... so that the worst elements in society are attracted to politics

What part of “Acting” Attorney do these Dem nitwits not understand? He was going to leave his position next month anyway. All Barr did was remind him of that and then he decided to play Resistance Warrior.

Thanks for the implied vote of confidence in AG Barr. He certainly catches a lot of flak on these threads.

Given the magnitude of the corruption in our government, I can understand why ironclad indictments might be just a little bit difficult to put together.

I remain hopeful. Neutral on Barr’s job performance, but hopeful.

Did he say he would consider “testifying about” or “testifying against”? Big difference.
