THis is the one place where it is important to broadcast the actual statistics.
You are NOT putting a black person at risk of death by calling police, any more than you are putting him at risk of death by letting him leave you and move on.
If you call police, they will come and arrest him.
If you don’t, he might walk out into the street and get hit by a car, or get into a car and have an accident, or get mugged on his way home, or get shot by a stray bullet, or get killed by the next person he robs who might have a gun.
Nobody has a clue what will kill someone, but with 375 million police encounters a year, and 1000 killings, most of them because the suspect pulled a weapon on the police, the probability of a black person being killed, or even assaulted, by a specific police officer on a specific call is astoundingly small, much less than the chance they might get killed in a hammer attack, or die of a drug overdose.
these “mean well” people never once consider all of the citizens who’s lives are put at risk by known criminals being permitted to run free and unchecked as they continue to commit their violent crimes.
