Strzok’s newly discovered FBI notes deliver jolt to ‘Obamagate’ evidence
Just the News ^ | June 24, 2020 - 8:45pm | By John Solomon

Investigators will need to secure testimony from Strzok, fired two years ago from the FBI, to be certain of the exact meaning and intent of his one paragraph of notes, which were made public in court on Wednesday.

But they appear to illuminate an extraordinary high-level effort by outgoing Obama-era officials during the first weekend of January to find a way to sustain a counterintelligence investigation of Flynn in the absence of any evidence of wrongdoing.

The Justice Department says the notes were written between Jan. 3-5, 2017, the very weekend the FBI agent who had investigated Flynn’s ties to Russia for five months recommended the case be closed because there was “no derogatory” evidence that he committed a crime or posed a counterintelligence threat. FBI supervisors overruled the agent's recommendation.

Strzok’s notes appear to quote then-FBI Director James Comey as suggesting that Flynn’s intercepted calls with Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak “appear legit,” bolstering other recently disclosed evidence showing the bureau saw nothing wrong with Flynn’s behavior.

The notes also suggest Biden — who once claimed he had no knowledge of the Flynn probe — raised the issue of the Logan Act, an obscure, centuries-old law, as a possible avenue for continuing to investigate Flynn.

And Strzok appears to quote Obama as suggesting the FBI assign “the right people” to pursue the case.

Do your own research...... they framed him.

Most importantly and what people need to understand is that the “transcript” that was released was not the full transcript. Flynn DID NOT mention sanctions in the call. Flynn was not provided a copy of the transcript.

The charging document states that Flynn discussed “sanctions”

He did not. He did mention expulsions (of diplomats - aka spies) and the two are NOT the same thing in diplomatic circles.

The FBI ran to Yates and told her that what the VP said (denied any talk of sanctions) on the Sunday News shows was different than what Flynn had talked about with the Ambassador, but the White House was not provided the call transcript either. They (Yates and FBI) told the White House that Flynn lied to Pence about the call, but did he?

Based on the transcript Flynn said nothing wrong so what is the “lie”?

This was a set-up from start to finish. They leaked to the media (a felony) a selective transcript, they pushed a narrative that Flynn had lied, and the republicrats around Trump/Pence threw him overboard in the heat of the moment in the midst of an hysterical news cycle that (like most of them) has since been disproven.

I bet it will be one of Trump’s biggest regrets after he leaves office.

WHO said Flynn lied? According to Yates, who did not hear the call, it was the FBI who told her that Flynn had lied to Pence. She ran to the White House to tell them.

It was bullchit from start to finish. An ugly game that they tried to repeat multiple times - leak to the media to create a narrative to achieve their desired goal.

The FBI notes said “what is our goal? To get him fired or prosecute him.” They did both.

If you lied about what you had for breakfast that is not criminal. He was charged for lying about something that had no consequence because no crime was being investigated.

LOL! I hear you.

There's no damned way this 'investigation' should have dragged on to where we're now 123 days away from a presidential election with these so-called "Shocking developments"..."newfound notes" and other assorted bullsh*t.

It certainly isn't a Republican strategy, because the only spine in the Party lives in the White House.

Oh please.

Not even his team is claiming that's not lying.

Buck up and admit that he lied to Trump, Pence and the FBI but what he lied about wasn't a crime.

Is that so hard?

There was an investigation and no one denies Flynn lied to the FBI.

The FBI investigation may not have been legit but that doesn't mean they didn't see anything wrong with his behavior, which was the claim in the article.

Flynn got in trouble because the FBI *CLAIMED* he lied.

No one, including Flynn so far, is claiming that he didn't lie.

Only that the lie wasn't material to a legitimate investigation.

“Flynn didn’t get into trouble for making the call. He got in trouble for lying about it.”

I disagree. Even Strzok said he did not think that Flynn lied during the interview he had with him. Pence got his information about Flynn from the FBI who lied to the VP. Pence thought the FBI was on the up and up at that time. It turns out they were setting up General Flynn. Flynn did not lie.

Who created the appearance of a lie?

The FBI

Who leaked the partial transcript to the media (a felony)?

Those persecuting Flynn

Who created the controversy? It was not Flynn. It was not Pence.

Pence now says he “does not believe Flynn intentionally misled him”

The guy had a phone call on the beach in the Dominican Republic. He did not make notes. He did what you would expect him to do - he tried to ratchet back tensions. The most interesting thing about the call transcript to me was that Flynn clearly understood that the Obama administration was trying to box Trump in when it came to Russia by his bizarre sanctions and expulsions just prior to leaving office over “interference”. We now know that “interference” was BS.

Believe what you wish. This was a frame job from start to finish.

“Flynn was charged and pled guilty to lying to the FBI.”

Under advice of his counsel at the time. That would be the Eric Holder law firm. IMHO they set Flynn up and were not doing their job. Under his new counsel Sydney Powell he retracted that statement and rightly so.

So if he lied that he drinks his coffee black when he actually drinks it with cream and sugar then your alright having him sentenced to jail ?

“Fine, but the lie is what he was charged with, not having the call.”

Now that is just not true. He said he could not recall all that he said in his call with Kislyak. Of course the FBI had the illegally obtained phone call and knew exactly what was on it. AKA perjury trap.

What in the hell are you talking about? It was the FBI who whispered in VP Pence’s ear that Flynn was lying. They were out to get Flynn fired and that is documented. They succeeded.

No he didn't. He had access to the transcripts so he knew Flynn lied.

Strzok said Flynn didn't show the obvious signs of lying.
