The advantage Trump has in running against a tree stump like Biden when the media is hidin’ Biden and trying to drive Trump’s poll numbers down by incessant tying covid and race protests to him is that eventually when the campaign heats up and Biden has to come out of hidin’, seeing is believing. No amount of negative press against Trump and attempts to promote an invisible Biden as mentally healthy will be able to overcome the sight of the guy on stage confused, vacantly staring, stuttering, and at a loss for words and unable to follow the teleprompter.

This is typical of American politics today. Early polls show the Democrats with big leads. The purpose of these polls is to discourage Republicans from voting and contributing money. As the election gets closer the polls “tighten,” but with the Democrats still leading. The polls in the last 48 hours are the ones that are the most accurate. The pollsters want to retain some credibility.
