Chinese buy strategic land in Texas, U.S. intel may not be pleased

Given its hold on many American Democrat politicians (Joe Biden among them) and its aggressive global stance, it is not surprising that during testimony to the Senate Judiciary Committee in July 2019, FBI Director Christopher Wray emphasized: “there is no country that poses a more severe counterintelligence threat right now than China.” Now in 2020, China has purchased over 100,000 acres in West Texas for what they say is an economic project. U.S. intelligence is casting a suspicious eye at their claim.

Retired CIA station chief Daniel Hoffman told the media, “The specific location in Xi’s crosshairs is the iconic frontier landscape, framed by the pristine Devils River and legendary Pecos River, in the West Texas borderlands of Val Verde County. Beginning in 2015, GH America Investment Group purchased over 130,000 acres of property in Val Verde County. GH America is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Xinjiang-based Guanghui Industry Investment Group. Xinjiang is notorious for its so-called ‘re-education’ camps, where China detains Uighur Muslims and other ethnic minorities against their will and violates their human rights.”

I grew up in the Del Rio area. My family has ranchland in the vicinity of Devil's river and by Lake Amistad.

So we know who the buyer is. Who the hell are the treasonous sellers who would take money from an enemy of the U.S.?

While China is undoubtedly or enemy now, can you say that that is how they were perceived the most people back when this transaction took place?

Judging the past using today’s standard is risky business.

Would you yourself sell property to Germans? Russians? Japanese?

Before we all push the panic button, maybe we should ask what they think they are going to do with the land. Did they also acquire the mineral rights?

Not exactly a piece of ground that is profitable without labor.....

It’s quite possible that the Chinese are using fake companies as the middleman. So a seller might think he’s selling to the ‘John Wayne Development Company’ when he’s really selling to the Red Chinese Army.

China wants to use the area as a place to hold their prisoners - criminal and political.

China’s view is “out of sight, out of mind.”

Interesting???

I did a quick map recon. Looks like it’s in the area of Comstock and Box Canyon, TX. Somewhere around Highway 90. I know that’s a pretty large area. I also see that it’s not too far from Laughlin AFB to the southeast across the Amistad Reservoir.

Pretty remote and possibly the cheapest per acre in the US. Why doesn’t the US match other countries laws for treatment of foreigners. Mexico is another. Citizens of those countries should be able to own property in the US under the same conditions that US citizens/corporations can own property in their countries.

Nationalize all Chinese assets as payment for their debt, repayment for their theft, and for strategic reasons.

Just raise the tax rate to $1million/acre for “historic” West Texas land and watch them abandon ship.

There was some talk a few months ago about holding China financially responsible for the Wuhan Flu pandemic. But I have heard nothing lately. I guess that’s old news, and so China is off the hook (again).

Homes in north Texas sell mainly to Chinese investors. You would be amazed at the percentage of real estate owned by the Chinese in north Texas.

“It’s quite possible that the Chinese are using fake companies as the middleman. So a seller might think he’s selling to the ‘John Wayne Development Company’ when he’s really selling to the Red Chinese Army.”

This is how large land purchases are usually done, and the purpose is to not let out the fact that a rich buyer is around. Otherwise, prices would skyrocket. This is how Disney bought the land for Disneyworld in Florida, and how countless other transactions have been accomplished over time.

That being said, it would behoove this country to investigate exactly which politicians (of either party) AND THEIR FAMILIES are involved with this company. I listened to an interview with Peter Schweitzer on Dr. Gorka’s show yesterday, in which he said that the Chinese used Hunter Biden (who has no experience in real estate and knows next to nothing about Chna) to form a company that went around buying up companies which produced dual-use technology. Needless to say, if the Chinese government itself tried that, the sales would never have gone through but, “miraculously,” these all did. So the pols and their families are getting rich while simultaneously selling out this country. IOW, this is treason, cloaked in the fig leaf of legit transactions by “American” companies.

Am I allowed to buy property in China?

Probably not. The Chinese know better.

As usual, we sell them the rope that they’ll use to hang us.

The US is nothing more than a money-grubbing entity with no eye towards civic unity or civic propriety. Everything is for sale.

Why confiscate?

What can China possibly do with that land?

It’s not like they can build a port there. I am still trying to figure out why they even want it.
