With 102 people shot, including 14 who were killed, Father's Day weekend proved to be one of the most violent of the year for the city of Chicago. Five of the 14 dead were minors, including a 3-year-old who was killed when someone opened fire at his father as they were driving.
Shortly before 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, the 27-year-old father and the toddler were driving in their vehicle when a blue Honda pulled up behind them and fired multiple rounds into their black SUV. The father was grazed by bullets but his son, Mekay James, was struck in the back. Despite the efforts of doctors at the West Suburban Medical Center, the child was pronounced dead minutes after arriving.
In addition to James, 17-year-old Jasean Francis and a 16-year-old companion were shot to death in an alley by a male suspect. Separately, a 15-year-old boy was shot in the leg, chest, and abdomen as he walked through an alley with a friend. A 13-year-old girl was killed the same day walking home about 8:30 p.m. when an unknown gunman opened fire and she was struck in the neck.
The deadly weekend comes less than a month after Chicago recorded its most violent weekend in recent history with 24 people killed and more than 60 others shot in unrest largely attributed to the tension surrounding the death of George Floyd.

Actually the numbers were 97 wounded and 14 killed per HeyJackass! the gold standard for Chicago mayhem .
That is the one day of the year young black men wander around disoriented at the meaning of it all.
Remove all police and first responders. Drop roll-off dumpsters for bodies at various locations.
Too bad black lives do not actually matter to the left—only politically useful ones.
In all fairness, Fathers Day must be a stressful time in Chicago.
There must have been a lot of confusion that day in Chicago.
Every week Chicago proves blacks don’t care at all about black lives.
No Whitey around to blame, so no media coverage.
On a NASCAR website, I said if BLM was for blacks they would address Black on black killings and black babies being murdered by Planned Parenthood, but they don’t...
Add four zeros and Chicago will be on its way to cleaning itself up. By the way, I would like the definition of insanity be changed to include: anyone who moves TO Chicago for any reason.

“The father is a known gang banger, felon and probable shooter in a few cases. He knew he was a target. You know why he had his kid in the car? Because he thought it made him less of a target....you know, a human shield. That gamble didn’t work out. The three-year-old was just the youngest of multiple child juvenile victims - 13, 16 and 17 were some others who were killed. And not a single one by the police that everyone seems to hate and blame, evidence to the contrary notwithstanding.”
