While shopping sans mask (gasp) at Wally World, I was told by a masked lemming, "I wear a mask for your protection!" I immediately replied, "You are not responsible for my health, and I refuse to be responsible for yours." The stunned look on the 1/2 face looking at me was priceless.

False, and absurdly so, unless the mask has an exhalation valve. The filtration media has very little directionality in terms of filtration efficiency.

Exactly...women and many businesses have made masks fashion accessories. There is a profit motive at work here, as well.
