President Trump and first lady Melania Trump visited the Korean War Memorial Thursday morning in Washington for a wreath-laying ceremony to mark the 70th anniversary of the Korean War.

Trump and the first lady stood for a moment of silence before laying their hands on the wreath. Then the president saluted and the first lady placed her hand over her heart as a military band played “Taps.” The Trumps then greeted elderly Korean War veterans.

I guess the most famous movie dealing with Korean War is THE BRIDGES AT TOKO-RI...

MacArthur (1977)...Gregory Peck played General MacArthur...The movie showed some Korean War scenes...

Taegukgi: The Brotherhood of War is a good Korean movie dealing with the war...You could find the movie with English subtitles...

Chosin Reservior battle is worth remembering...

Soviet pilots were in MIG-15 fighters...

TOKO-RI did not have a happy ending...
But, I think it was a fine movie...

North Koreans did not treat POWs very well...

VERY TRUE on both points. = I have a dear friend here in SA who was a prisoner of both the Chicoms & the NKs. Needless to say that he’s NOT “overly fond” of either group.

Naa’teh’s comment was that what the NK’s lacked in intelligence & regard for the rule of international law, they made up for with casual/unthinking BRUTALITY.
(He killed 2 of his guards while escaping back to friendly lines & was picked-up by Greek commandos after 8 days with almost no fresh water, about a cup of raw rice & almost no sleep at all.- After that was 10 months in Army hospitals in country, in Japan & in Dc to at least somewhat recover his health.)
