Frankly, if the judge attempts an appeal that isn’t “defiance” it’s our system.

He might win with John Roberts.

We see horrible precedents being set because of the left. Aside from Flynn, it was never intended that courts should use the plea bargain procedure to keep persecuting a defendant who tries to reverse a plea.

All of the concern was when a defendant withdraws a plea, can the government use that change against him in a future trial.

And the view generally was that it is a miscarriage of Justice to tell a jury that the defendant previously “lied” when he pled guilty.

Here it’s a dropped case and the judge seeking revenge on the defendant is even more twisted.

“We see horrible precedents being set because of the left.”

We are a lawless society. When those who control access to the legal system, and administer it, are lawless, there is no equity or justice under the law.

When governors and mayors allow mobs to run free in the streets, damaging property and people, society is lawless.

When government leaders, without shame, promote a legal system in which those who are members of the state’s inner circle holding offices of high trust (Hillary Clinton, James Comey, James Clapper, John Brennan) are not accountable to the laws average citizens are held to, the society is lawless.

When any lower court judge can stay or strike down a law, or executive order, on his own authority, the society is lawless.

When the Supreme Court can rewrite legislation passed by Congress, thereby usurping the powers of the legislative (i.e. people’s) branch, the society is lawless.

When different standards are applied to individuals in the legal system, based on the skin color, sexual orientation, or religion, the society is lawless.

When government leaders encourage and condone flagrant violation of laws by groups or individuals, the society is lawless.

When government stops protecting citizens from invasion, crime, confiscation or destruction of property, and punishes citizens for protecting themselves, the society is lawless.

When public officials use the power of the state to take a citizens property for the benefit of another citizen or organization (Kelo decision), the society is lawless.

When government or interest groups target citizens for exercising free speech, and destroy the targets economically and socially, the society is lawless.

When government taxes citizens to provide benefits to non-citizens or criminals, the society is lawless and predatory.

Freedom does not exist in a lawless society.

The United States in 2020 is a lawless society.

I said, on another thread, that Justice (?) Roberts just might declare the judge President of the United States.
