Still roasting up there, are you? At least you have a break ahead.
We’ve been relatively cool here the past few days due to clouds that won’t go away. No rain from them until today and the rain has been a blessing. It absorbed a lot of the Saharan dust that’s moving in. Our cars will need baths when this stuff is out of here because they’re getting covered with muddy rain.

Howdy, spel.
Are you choking on dust today? Rain, and drizzle between rain showers, has saved us. There must still be a little dust in the air during the drizzles because I had a sneezing fit after going out to check the rain gauge this afternoon. Brown water in the gauge. Yuck.

I worked in some night clubs that had live music when I lived in Raleigh and Crack the Sky played at one of them several times.
Kix played there, too, and really rocked the house.
Another Baltimore-based band I absolutely loved was Face Dancer. They broke up for a while but apparently got back together later. They gave me their huge backdrop and a plaque off of one of the sound boards.
I was crushed when I learned that Carey had passed.
I always wore Red Shoes when they played at the Switch. LOL

:-) From your post, I'm pretty sure that you're probably also familiar with Takoma Park, MD (not far from Silver Spring). You may also be familiar with this guy, who was pretty good on the guitar, and was from Takoma Park.
