Goodwin later notes that elected NYC Democrats who want to succeed De Blasio are attacking him from the left, advocating further curbs on the police and tax increases. If Democrats gain power nationwide, they will enact such policies nationwide.

We need to show up to vote democrats out in November.

Our purity test for truly Conservative Republicans needs to happen in the primaries. In November our only choice is at least two more years of this, or Republican.

Romney notwithstanding.

The turnout the the Kaiser’s last election was ridiculously low, in the mid teens, IIRC.

Was the turnout really that low, or have the ‘Rats figured out that deleting is a lot easier than padding the vote..?

NYC been lurching towards “unlivable” since Rudy left office. Bloomberg was the baby step towards DeCommio. Worse, the demographics of the city now guarantee there will never be another Rudy.

I just couldn’t care less anymore about whatever the hell happens in Marxocrat World and Woke City USA all across this benighted land. In every one of these schittholes the people living in them have voted for every sort of Marxocrat crook, scumbag, and pervert that ran for political office time and time again for generations. They all wanted this. Well, now they have it. Let them live with it. We need to figure out how to cordon their cesspools off and let them all wallow in their self-created schittholes. Let’s not just defund the police, let’s defund their entire operations altogether from getting any more of the money from outstate cities and towns. And get the federal government out of funding them, too.

Seriously, New York City can go F itself. After years of law and order and prosperity under Rudy Guiliani these idiots voted in an avowed Marxist who of course quickly tore down everything that Rudy accomplished.

Unfortunately those New Yorkers who can afford to are going to move out of their newly re-established s**t-hole and bring their Marxist politics with them wherever they go. I wish we could put up an ideological quarantine around the island of Manhattan.

NYC is a cesspool and it was just a matter of time before it collapsed. Anyone who isn’t a psychotic D should be looking for greener pastures. The Ds can stay put.

Every city run by a democrap is unlivable, but the asstards keep reelecting them. These people are utter morons, during his first term they complained what a horrible mayor he was and they reelected him anyway. Now we possibly could have one of the worst democrats ever as President solely because he’s going to scam these same morons by picking Tammy Duckworth as his running mate

People are fleeing in droves. This place is being over run. They are buying homes here like six packs which is the worst possible scenario for us in my community. The property tax system is poised to bend us over again.

cities are history...20th century anachronisms.

Their costs rise exponentially as the height goes up.

snce the mid-20th century there is less and less need to concentrate human, material and financial capital on rail lines, roads and waterways-all historical reasons by which cities evolved.

NYC in the 1960’s lost the garment district, the meatpacking district...etc..all that was left was the financial district-and in the last 20 years that finally has moved into the cloud. Floor trading has essentially come to an end. The financial district was all that was left keeping NYC alive and in the game.

No reason at all whatsoever for anybody to need to live there
