Many, many of my ancestors had immediate family who fought in American wars. One of my ancestors was wrongly convicted of witchcraft, imprisoned, and had her property confiscated. All of my ancestors were good, intelligent, hardworking farmers, craftsmen, merchants, and statesmen.
