I'm sure it does. I wear one and have to change my breathing to breathe deeper, otherwise I get just the stale exhaled air.

but covid also reduces the body’s o2 saturation, so if you have it, and also wear a mask, you’re killing yourself to reduce other peoples’ anxiety and irrational fears

Anyone with COVID at that level (low oxygen) should not be out in public.

so it becomes a worse problem for them

I can believe that. I wore a mask into Costco and was winded by the time I pushed the cart back to my car. The only difference was the mask. It definitely puts a strain on breathing and people who have difficulty already, due to allergies, asthma, or other conditions should think twice about making it more laborious to breathe.
