Utah Democrat Ben McAdams narrowly won his congressional seat in 2018 and Republicans hope to make him a one-term member.
And on Tuesday, the party picked their nominee: Former NFL player Burgess Owens, a Fox News commentator who raised the most money of all his Republican rivals headed into the primary.
Owens, who played a decade in the NFL as safety for the New York Jets and Oakland Raiders, bested state Rep. Kim Coleman to win the nomination.
Trump carried Utah’s 4th Congressional District by 7 points in 2016. And while McAdams won in 2018, his win was narrow, leading Republicans to see the district as a top target for the party this fall.

I read most of his book. He’s a good man, and he got everything, lost it all, and picked himself up again. I believe that, like Beck, the Mormons support of him through his difficult time led to him becoming a Mormon.His book isn’t brilliant, but it shows him to be a good man who wil be a solid addition to the House.
Now if they had some more common sense, they’d run Romney out of town and get someone else.
I don’t know the In’s and Out’s of Utah politics, but I’ll have to assume the guy that Romney went up against in the primary has to be better than Mittens.

Good news about Romney is he’s ancient already and will probably not even run again due to old age or death.

Purple District. Interest litmus test for the Commies / Rats. Is the hell the left has put this country through the last two months about ones color of skin as they will have you believe or just the ideology that most people of color posses. I suspect we will see the hypocrisy that we know the left has in abundance.
I hope republicans will pick up that Utah Senate seat when Mitt Romney is up for reelection in 2024.

I hope he is successful. He has a calming effect when watching him on TV. A truly great man. Can’t wait to hear his acceptance speech.

Yes...Mia Love lost a squeaker to McAdams in 2018. It is also the most Republican district to be represented by Democrats in Congress. Burgess Owens (no relation to Candice) seems like a good fit.
