We can hope. Unfortunately we still have to wait a while. Amazing how he puts on this meekish Mormon act and his narcissism is right up there with the best of them.
Yes
Cue the voice of John Facenda and the music of Sam Spence.
Yeah. It WILL be the first district in modern times to repped by TWO black Republicans.
Love endorsed Kim Coleman BTW.
You mean in UT—repped by two black Rs. Certainly MD, AL, MI among others have always had blacks representing them.
I speak only of black Republicans, yes.
The last district to have more than one black Republican rep it was NC-2, last won by a black R in 1898.

Actually, the most recent congressional district to have more than one black Republican Representative was SC-01, which was represented by Joseph Rainey from 1870 to 1879, by George W. Murray from 1896 to 1897, and by Tim Scott from 2011 to 2013. I believe that the SC-01 has included at least a portion of Charleston (and no portion of Columbia) since before Rainey represented it, so one could say that Scott’s SC-01 was the true successor of Rainey’s and Murray’s SC-01.
