They’ve lived in a bubble where almost everyone did agree with them and they were taught that those who did disagree were either ignorant, crazy, evil/selfish or too stupid to be an enlightened liberal.
Thanks! I figured there was a better word to describe their union but couldn’t think of it. ‘Portmanteaux’ is a great word to remember.
