A. got us in. B. kept us from winning.
B also ran a “silent” war in Syria, Libya and other places in the ME.
Silent because the media refused to report on our involement there.
But Team B has a lot of blood on their hands.
Wrong! I asked for numbers.
Bush-Cheney: 4 (Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan and Somalia)
Obama-Biden: 7 (Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Somalia, Yemen, Libya and Syria)
Obama-Biden upped Afghanistan from a police mission to a full-fledged war
Obama-Biden got us out of Iraq (prematurely) and then got us back in
Pakistan and Somalia were, more or less, continuing intelligence operations (e.g. drone strikes)
Yemen - US support of Saudi operations
Libya - crackpot State Department regime change operation turned bad
Syria - ditto
Regarding Bush-Cheney got us in, and Obama-Biden kept us from winning: I suppose you are referring to Iraq. Bush-Cheney got us in by saying it would be a walk in the park [Wolfowitz]. Looking back, it became clear we’d have to be there for four generations or so, to convert the place into a liberal democracy. By the time the cost of the occupation became clear to the American people, we said no. Time to get out. If the Effers bomb us, we can destroy them from a distance and let the survivors among them figure out what to do, sort of like the original plan in Afghanistan. The neo-cons still say they think holding an election transforms people into (small d) democrats. Are they really that stupid? Or, do they have another agenda? In the meanwhile, we have the equivalent of Taliban and Al-Qaida here in this country, tearing down our country and shooting our policemen.
