We can all thank Nikki Haley for starting this BS.
EXACTLY SO. - Had Governor Haley just said “NO”, we would have a LOT less trouble with such situations than we have now.
(WHEN/IF we Southerners & other CONSTITUTION-loving folks STOP CARING or even LISTENING TO the FOOLISNESS & LIES that the Northeastern “main-SLIME media” peddles, we will all be MUCH BETTER OFF.)
What Ms. Haley SHOULD have said was, “GO BACK where you came from, peddle your HATEFULNESS there & let our GOOD people of SC solve to our own problems. - We WILL solve the problem of that vicious criminal. - We neither NEED nor WANT to hear your opinion, UNTIL/UNLESS the place where you live becomes PERFECT.”
ImVho, one “piece of racist scum”, who shot up a church in Charleston, had NOTHING WHATEVER to do with the battleflag on the SC Soldier’s monument.
(My adopted family is from Spartanburg County & I do not know of even ONE person there who was not HORRIFIED & DISGUSTED by that criminal’s vicious act against innocent church members. Otoh, everyone that i know there RESENTED the “mainstream press” coming to SC to stir up trouble.)

A lot of people have started this ball rolling over the years. In Virginia, Governor Jim Gilmore (R) ordered the confederate battle flag patch removed from State Police uniforms. Gilmore was a squish, and served well in that role for the RNC.
