“The Sunday Morning Bray”, by Bray!

Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance. Psalm 33:12 (King James Version)

It is time to fight back. While the Barack shadow Whitehouse is organizing their tired old race riots it is time for the Tea Party to fight back under the radar. They have gotten too aged to have rallies where they can get beaten and mugged by the Obama thugs, so it is time to hit them where they least expect it which is at the ballot box. This is a head shot they are not expecting. It is time to change some of these elections which have been taken for granted as wins by the Dems and switch them for the Repubs.

You can really only affect your own neighborhood or town when it comes down to it so affect that. If you can increase your votership by 500 votes you can switch most local elections which can be done door to door. This will switch many city council, state representative and school board members which can make a huge difference to your city and state. As angry as you may be at the national events you must focus on what you can affect and the only thing you can do is what you can reach.

It may be only your block is what you can affect so make sure your block votes and if you can get 10-20 extra votes you have done you part. We will explain how you do that but now your job is to build a voter guide for your neighborhood. Find out who the city council candidates are with phone calls to them and decide which ones are the Conservatives and the same with the school board members and judge candidates. Simply ask what their three most important issues are and you will know who is who.

Put together a voter guide you can hand out to educate people on who to vote for to move your community the right direction. You can call them or go to their doors and axe the questions you need to axe to figure out who’s who is to put together the voters’ guide. Voter guides make it easy for voters and increase votes by as much as 10% for the unlikely voters.

Once you have the guide done you can put it on your phone as well as have handouts. If you are talking to someone afraid of the virus you can simply text them the guide and they can have it when they do their ballot. As an independent you can call it a non-partisan guide which can really affect the independents and non-affiliated which is the fastest growing voter segment in many states. If you are a Repub then you can tell them you are doing this inside or outside the Party.

When you have the candidates, you want to get elected you then help them win a grassroots campaign which is won by knocking doors and setting out signs. Yard signs are the most effective vote changer in any campaign. A solid sign campaign not only gives name recognition it gives the effect of making the appearance of a highly active and excited base. Voters notice who has more signs out and will vote towards the signs for two reasons, name recognition and respecting the neighbor’s opinion if neighbor Joe is voting for him I will too.

The most important piece of the campaign and especially with Vote by Mail which Oregon has had for a decade is harvesting the votes. You must go door to door to make sure the voters you want to vote send in their ballots.

The election is won by making sure the 500 votes which were going into the trash make it into the mail. They are usually the margin of victory in a local election. Those votes are the ones which will turn all of the local elections around from liberal to Conservative.

You need to get a list of voter IDs from a local campaign or you can purchase them at the Elections board to know who you need to talk to in your neighborhood. You need to learn how to read them which most say how many times they have voted in the past 10 elections. Obviously the 10 votes of 10 elections will vote their Party but will appreciate your voter guide for School board and minor elections which will be automatic votes for your candidates.

The ones you really need to focus on are the 5 of 10 and below, those are the garbage can votes. They are the ones which will sway the election so hit them as many times as you can. If you can get a 1 of 10 to vote or zero that is a vote that nobody planned on getting and are the ones which will turn the election. One of the beauties of vote by mail is you have 30 days to harvest votes and this is how you do it.

If you are really organized with a candidate, they can give you lists of the ones who have not voted yet and you chase those one by one. As the election day gets closer you may have to use a car to chase the ones who have not voted. You do not have time to argue with a Dem who is going to vote their Party no matter how long you talk so leave them alone. You have to get to 500 people or in some cases it may be 50 people, but that takes a lot of time and travel so make sure you talk to the right people who will use your voter guide and make sure they get their ballot in. You cannot take the ballot to the drop site in most states so you may carry stamps and make sure they fill it out and put it in the mailbox while you are there.

While you are doing this, you may run into people angry about what is going on, so you give them a list of 10 neighbors to make sure they vote with a voter guide. This can be a fun activity as you find allies who think like you do rather than knocking Dem doors and having to argue with people accomplishing nothing other than angst, avoid those doors like the plague. If you stick to like minded or mostly like minded and realize arguing is a waste of time you can have more fun than doing anything else.

If you are unable to walk you can text your voter guides to people or put them on the local face book pages etc. You can make sure all your Facebook friends vote with phone calls and texts to make sure they get their ballots counted. Again, do not get into arguments with anyone since just like the door they are going to vote their Party most of the time so do not waste your energy. You could be missing someone who will vote while that argument is happening.

If you can get 500 ballots turned in and especially the ones which were not going to vote you will have likely changed 4-5 local elections which is more than those rioters have accomplished nationwide. They have likely turned thousands of votes the other direction or pushed them so you can get votes with the Independents or rarely voters. Independents are sheep who decide in the last minute. They will follow the lead of a sign or someone knocking on their door at the last minute. They are generally followers so they will often follow what you suggest and are looking for voter guides to help them decide who to vote for. Just make sure they do it while you are there and get it in the mailbox. They are campaign gold.

While they are burning down buildings you can burn up the streets. You will be amazed who your neighbors really are on their doorstep and how much you have in common. You will meet your fellow Silent Majority and if enough of you do it you will give them voices to roar once again. It can be as easy as putting your voter guide on a Facebook page or a website. Between now and the election an hour a day can put Pelosi at Bay.

Your job now is to interview the local candidates and decide which ones you are going to put on your voter guide. You should tell the candidate what you are doing and if you can meet with them great, but a phone call will be good enough. Many will want to meet with your group which will be fine but sort out the ones who are Conservative and have them come if you want to increase the size of your group. The key thing you are doing now is to get your voter guide done and start spreading it around. This is how you win elections and how you defeat Barack’s BLM and the Anarchist thugs.

Pray for the Elections

• Morning AB, All. As always, thank you AB for doing this thread so reliably and keeping the peace with gentle thread policing. Thank you Bray for weekly written wisdom, Thank all yon contributors for excellent commentary to flesh it all out.

• Below are the words from my daily political diary. It is quite long so scroll on by if not interested. But do stay around and add your commentary and point of view to the thread.

Yes I am compiling a Blog about the great pandemic of 2020 and how my country stupidly shut down the economy.  We will have opinions, political and cultural highlights, my personal experience, social media details, even TV reviews since I watch so much TV while in my home jail.  We shall, as always, end with a smile.

MISC. PANDEMIC NOTES OF THE WEEK

(an update for my descendants)

Seems that everyone is changing their name/logo or motto recently, yon descendants, and now we have the former Dixie Chicks, now to be known as The Chicks.

I doubt, yon descendants, that none of you all will have ever heard of either The Dixie Chicks or The Chicks by the time you read this.

Many of yon descendants  will probably not have heard of Aunt Jemima or Uncle Tom.  Goodness knows you will all probably see few of the statues is memory of America's past as they all being torn down, read further for more info.

MAJOR POLITICAL EVENTS OF THE WEEK

(another update)

Corona Virus Cases Going Up and Life is Misery Once Again

I just can't give a quote verifying that the virus is back and running amok.

No, I do not believe it, yon descendants.

All of a sudden very Republican areas, states where President Trump plans to hold rallies in the near future, are all spiking in virus cases although death rates and hospital patients with the virus has not increased and indeed, in many cases has decreased.

It's not clear whether the so-called increase in cases is because of more tests administered, multiple tests given to the same person but counted as individual cases or just outright manipulated.

Yon descendants, this virus ain't going away until after the election.

MAJOR CULTURE EVENTS OF THE WEEK

(one more update)

Already with the bad ballots and the statues come down

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2020/06/26/1_in_5_ballots_rejected_as_fraud_is_charged_in_nj_mail-in_election_143551.html

No photo description available.Following accusations of widespread fraud, voter intimidation, and ballot theft in the May 12 municipal elections in Paterson, N.J., state Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal (pictured) announced Thursday he is charging four men with voter fraud – including the vice president of the City Council and a candidate for that body.

It is the first day of July 2020 for this writing, yon descendants, and already we have people going to jail for fraudulent mail in ballots.

Because in this new normal in American elections, if you can't win an election, you should then steal it.

It's not exactly a statue

https://delmarhistoricalandartsociety.blogspot.com/2015/02/the-delaware-whipping-post.html?fbclid=IwAR0qgOCMhl04TIZOf0Odj-I_GW_WYlD8yZSPHMFdQJ2ipnIDHY31tV6nlEo

On June 16, 1952 John P. Barbieri was the last man to be whipped in Delaware.  20 lash for breating Mrs. Belle davis.

FULL TEXT: Wilmington, Del., June 16 – John P. Barbieri, 30, flinching at every stroke of the cat o’ tails, received 20 lashes on his bare back today in Delaware’s first public flogging in three years.

Barbieri, sentenced to the flogging after he pleaded guilty to beating Mrs. Belle Davis, 59, last April 18, made no outcry during the 45 seconds it took to carry out the sentence.

Here in early July 2020, yon descendants, the big flap this week is removal for what is called the shipping post in Georgetown, Del, five miles from me.

The whipping post was memorialized at the back of the old Sussex county courthouse and a plaque  nearby explained what it was.  We are assured that the whippings were not restricted to only people of color.

But such is our absurd sensitivities, yon descendants, that it shall be removed, indeed, as of this writing it has been removed.

Can't have you descendants reading and learning from our history now, can we?

PERSONAL NOTES FROM ME RE THE PANDEMIC

(that my descendants may know how I handled it)

Ocean Point Grill

oceangrilllewes.com

17252 N Village Main Blvd, Lewes, DE 19958 · ~9.9 mi

(302) 644-8081

Open · Closes 9 PMHours may vary

Ocean Point Grill is the most ordinary of ordinary restaurants in Lewes, Delaware.  As of this writing, yon descendants, it is the site of my very first restaurant meal for over four months.

It deserves a tip of the hat.

I could go on about the quality of its food but that would take one sentence.  It was my birthday and the meal was a gift from my friend.  I had my favorite meal because truthfully, yon descendants, I really don't go out to eat that much.  But like most of America, I probably eat out in some fashion about once a week, at least once every couple of weeks.  That all changed when Corona-19 came to town.

I had breakfast, even around 11:00 am because I never make myself a big breakfast at home.  I had three eggs over easy, a side of two pancakes, some sausage and a small tomato juice.  Of course I had coffee but for some reason it was cold, I don't know why.

What was different about this meal is how it was served.  First, this table was opened, this table was blocked off.  With phase 2 of having life come back to Delaware restaurants could now have eating in but only at 50% the normal capacity.  Ocean Grill did a nice job of roping off those tables/booths that could not be used without it being  a pain to get around.

All of the serving staff wore masks and, indeed, customers were to wear masks until they were seated at their assigned table.  Our server was very busy and there were times when me and friend had to wait for more cold coffee or extra napkins.

Still and so, it was really nice to sit and converse with a friend without extra work.

I quite enjoyed it and may all the Delaware restaurants now slowly opening up to normal business do as well as the Ocean Point Grill.

EDITORIAL

(My opinion for my descendants)

Colleges

It took me thirteen years of night school to get my college degree.  I was working at Western Electric, then the manufacturing arm of AT&T.  WE offered to pay for college for all employees so long as they took courses pertinent to their job with the company.

Night school began for me when I was 21 and when I was 33 I got my degree.  Throughout it all I got married twice, became a widow, gave birth.  I remember the day I received my degree, via the U.S. mail.  I was then separated from my second husband and living with my young child at my father's house while he wintered in Florida.  I pulled the tube out of the mailbox, opened it up while still on the street and pulled out that hard-earned degree.  I looked around.  There were no neighbors around, not another soul in sight.  My family had only a vague idea I was even going to night school.

What should have been whooping and happy hollering was quiet, deadpan, kind of sad.

The next day after receiving that diploma I gave Western Electric my two weeks notice.  The company was not pleased for paying for my education to have me quit but I had my 15 years for a retirement and with the degree I could do anything.

I never used that college degree again for anything.

Oh sure, I framed it and hung it on my wall. And over the following years I of course mentioned in my resume that I had a college degree and it probably meant something.  I did hold many responsible jobs over the years and mostly made good money.  I likely would not have even gotten an interview without that college degree, much less a job.  Thus to be fair, the degree did give me access to a paying career, eventually my own consulting gig.

Today I have a friend who has a son currently researching colleges in his senior year.  I listen to her laments....this college ain't good enough, that college has a bad reputation, the college down that way has never had anyone of any fame pass through its portals.

I roll my eyes.  Me, a person who for 13 years went to work every day then got in the car and went to night class.  Just getting to a class was my big struggle.  Whatever college I got a degree from mattered not.  I just wanted that degree.

And so I note that today, it's the reputation of the college among the elites that matters, not the knowledge and experience attendance at a college will give one.  George Dubya Bush graduated from Harvard and there's a college that anybody that is anyone wants to attend for its glamour reputation.  I'm sorry but Dubya Bush was not the smartest guy in America but his father had been the President.  Of course he should go to Harvard!

So my friend's son, and soon her daughter, seeks to get a college degree but attendance at a Community College with the final two years at a nothing-burger state university- the way I did the college thing-was not something these fine people could tolerate.

I am to understand that her son will be going to some prestigious school in Pennsylvania and for that they cheer, hoot and howl.

Because it's all about the college you went to, not how you did in that college.

Weird.

Great piece and so appropriate. Many areas are now seeing the dems in total disarray. It's so bad in some places the don't even put up candidates since they know they don't have a prayer.

Brays methods will work and he said it all when he claimed its a waste of time from now until election day to spend endless hours debating already brainwashed liberals. Getting all Republicans out is key and if you have time left over go for the middle of the roaders.Even then don't waste time on the brainwashed NPA's.

Thanks for just about the best civic advice I’ve read in sometime. To your point, each one of us knows Trump voters. Over the next 120 days let’s make sure they are still on board, and see if they too will call fellow Trumpians and do the same. Let’s hold our base together as best we can, and let the campaign reach out nationally.

thanks AB.

would would an effective voter guide look like?

side by side matrix comparison of candidates on specific issues?

or just a word document with a short blurb on each candidate?

or some other format?
