Cool.

I love the old Super, but it’s way heavy. Also way too loud for what we were doing. Band I just retired from started getting bookings in restaurants, where the 6 watt Champ was actually too loud...at least the 1st 2 sets ...so I started using it and/or the Pro Jr miked into the PA and turned down. Usually the Champ ended up dimed by the middle of the 2nd set, but that’s still loud bedroom practice volume, and no way it will keep up with a drummer. We used a drum machine (keyboard). I still use the Champ to doodle on at home. Cranked, of course...

The Peavey MX is the opposite of your Dean Markley, solid state preamp into tube power amp. Super clean through tbe clean channel, anything from lightly crunchy to metal from the distortion channel. At 130 watts it’s a beast too, I’d set it up if I had to play at the Astrodome with no worries...If that’s the Dean Markley tbat has the swappable plug in unit, I played one once. Nice amp...

Nice thing is it can do anything from bedroom practice volume to huge arena LOUD...at 8 on the volume knob the clean channel is stilll clean...and the Kustom 2X12 cab does a great job...it is a 1967 model, by the way. Only year they put “by Ross Inc” on the metal nameplate. Loaded with a pair of Emminence 12’s.
