I don’t really think that anyone thinks that.
He does seem to take an interest in the fifteen or twenty people who tried to overthrow the election. It is not a leap to think that he can take notice of another very high profile case (and he in fact did}, linked to the other fifteen or twenty, such as Stone’s.
But, I assume he is grateful for your help in shouldering his burden.
On the DOJ web site, it is noted that day-to-day affairs, including prosecutions, are directly supervised by the Deputy AG, currently Jeffrey A. Rosen.
