The Right is waiting for November, still playing by the old rules that this country has legitimate elections (with zero fraudulent votes) and that the losing side accepts the results in a peaceful transfer of power.
A classic example of Normalcy Bias. Or maybe it’s Cognitive Dissonance. Or maybe it’s just straight-up stupidity.
Because vote fraud will happen in record numbers, perhaps enough to sway the result. And should Trump pull off a win, it’s proven that not only will The Left not accept the results, they’ll support anarchy and insurrection in order to delegitimize them.
For 8 years of Bush 43, The Left accepted the results of an election they didn’t like. For 8 years of Obama, The Right accepted the results of an election they didn’t like. All that went out the window in 2016. For The Right to think the November elections will settle anything is preposterous.
And all waiting for the November elections will do, thinking that will defeat the Leftist Mob, is give them more time to spew mayhem and destruction.
You’re absolutely right. Obama had set the table, Hillary was going to be The Final Solution (yes I’m aware of the historical significance of that phrase). Then, the shock that Hillary was such an awful candidate that even the level of cheating they applied wasn’t enough. The response: turn up the heat, tighten the screws. They will make certain that no amount of turnout can overcome the cheating in store for November and the violence that will intimidate many from voting. And once they clear that little hurdle, boots will come down on Patriots’ necks faster than you can say “I can’t breathe.”
Throughout history, the response of totalitarians is to impose authority by whatever means, execute or jail enough opponents to intimidate the rest, and continue the process to retain power.
Biden is proof that these people don’t care who the President is, so long as they control him.
