My almost retirement age female cousin has slowly - then suddenly - come out as a blazing Leftist.
She sent a donation to the Episcopal Bishop in Washington DC to repair the fire damage at the historic church near the White House. She directed the Bishop to send her money to Black Lives Matter if enough money had already been collected for the fire repairs.
A couple days later, Black Lives Matter occupied the historic church.
I sent her a link to a breaking news story on the BLM occupation and said, “The Bishop gave your donation AND your church to Black Lives Matter!”
She was not amused and sent me a 10 paragraph email explaining why Democrats are never responsible for the radical Left actions of individuals.
My cousin is the kindest and most selfless healthy person left in my increasingly aged and polarized family, so there is no way I can really argue with her.
We have agreed not to talk/write about politics any more.
I’ve been engaged in a battle with the Bishop of Washington DC. She’s an awful person. Her cousin sent money to demon spawn. Yes, I’m an Episcopalian and have attended services in her diocese. I want them to lose their IRS exemption. The DC diocese is not a church, it’s a part of the democrat party... the radical leftist side at that.
