Two white women in the town where I have my office have been setting up booth for BLM at least a couple times per week. They have t shirts that include black fist and #USorElse on them.
I got so fed up with it, made my own sign that said “All Lives Matter” and yesterday I self counter protested for 90 minutes across the street from them.
Some observations;
There were plenty of blacks around, not a single one approached or had a comment for those two ladies or myself.
I had a fair number of folks give me positive thumbs up or comments, but not as many as you’d expect.
At least half the people that complimented me were colored, but not black.
Most folks wanted to ignore both sides.
The BLM white woke women had a network of friends come around, with shirts on. One car with 4 white wokes flipped me off.
Felt very good to go and do this, felt like I had my chance to respond.
how hold were the “wowgs (woke white gals)?”
Good on you, Professional. Visible ideological push back is more powerful than most people think. Hunkering down or passively ignoring things as they are, really doesn’t sell. It gives the protesting class a sense of validation.
Something as simple as an American flag sticker on your car may seem passive, but to the Antifa/BLM folks it shows you’ve picked a side.
